Safflower seed purchase March 4, 2016 Reviewer: Bird lover in Illinois from Marissa, IL United States   I ordered four bags (50 lbs. ea.) of various types of bird seed.  Service and quality are top-notch.  My only concern, and it is significant, is that three of the four bags had broken open during delivery (4-star rating because of this).  The only bag that did not break open was the thistle seed because it was a nylon bag whereas the others were of heavy paper. No squirrels! May 28, 2013 Reviewer: Anonymous Person   Safflower is great for attracting Cardinals, Chickadees, Juncos, etc.., and the best thing about it is that squirrels don't like it, and will leave your bird feeder alone!
